SLA Lancs - Welcome to the Lancashire branch of the SLA

Welcome to SLA Lancashire, a regional branch of the School Library Association, where you can find out about who we are and what we do.

With over fifty members, there has never been a better time to join the Lancashire branch of the SLA. Members are spread throughout the county providing an opportunity to network and share best practice in support of one another and in celebrating the love of books and reading.

Our calendar of events generally include training days in March and November at which we endeavour to engage guest speakers from many and various aspects of our profession.

In July we host our very own Pupil Librarians’ Day, an action packed event full of fun games and activities to reward and recognise the amazing input of our young helpers.  Also in July, we hold an annual social event, the nature of which varies from year to year.

New members are always given the warmest of welcomes at any of our events and if you have any enquiries please feel free to contact me or our Branch Secretary, Emma.

I look forward to seeing you soon.
